Phil (owner and artist @ Ghost Horse), is one of the kindest and most caring artists I have ever had work done by.
His studio is a quaint little spot in the Skywalk, but it is so beautifully decorated! Phil is a perfectionist and insisted I come back in a month for a touch up on this very important piece, which he worked with me to design to my exact specifications.
He tattooed me for nearly 10 hours, and the entire time he was always asking how I was doing and if I was comfortable! He allowed for frequent breaks to get through the pain, and even allowed my friend to come in and play cards with me during a portion of the work. We even ordered India Palace(almost directly below his bussiness) for dinner as the night went on!
This was the most detailed piece I have ever had done, and the longest session I've ever sat for, but it wasn't the most I have ever payed for a tattoo! His prices are just right, and his tableside-manner and compassion are unparalleled.
I got a tattoo to commemorate my late dog, and Phil accomodated us to use her ashes in the ink. She will be with us forever now thanks to him!
I can't wait to get back on his table for more wonderful art.

Amazing guy! He has done a wonderful job with tattoos given to my whole family! Great line work and collaboration with client in what they want to pursue on getting on their body. Very friendly, outgoing and passionate about his work!

My husband and I were in Duluth for the weekend and on a whim decided to get tattoos. We called and Phil was able to get us in that day. Super friendly, great prices, and amazing work. He listened to our ideas and guided us through the process. Will for sure visit his studio again and highly recommend it!

Three friends of mine and I went in and Phil let us be loud and ourselves while giving us our permanent memories. He was flexible and patient with each of us on placement and design. Top knotch work and customer service with a great price and lots of fun! 10/10 recommend!!!!

I walked in a few weeks ago to get a couple small tattoos done, and Phil made sure he got me in that day. He ended up staying past closing time to finish my tattoos, and instead of rushing to get them done and get home, he still took his time and did really quality work. CLEAN lines and good artistic vision. Overall made me feel really comfortable and heard about my ideas! Great experience!!!!

Couldn't have gone better for my first tattoo! The line work is very clean. Phil is a very friendly and personable dude. Plus it's an awesome tattoo spot in Duluth with very affordable prices. Definitely will be back in the future!

Me and my sister decided to get tattoos last minute, we looked up tattoo shops around Duluth that had walk-ins and we found Ghosthorse tattoo studio! Phil is very kind and personable. I was very nervous about getting the tattoo but Phil made sure we were comfortable and he takes his time and doesn’t rush the tattoo to get us out of the door. You can tell he takes pride in his work and cares about his clientele.The tattoos came out AMAZING. I’ll be using him for my future tattoos!
